Xbox One Backward Compatibility Game List http://uk.ign.com/wikis/xbox-one/Xbox_One_Backward_Compatibility_Game_List No GTA ????
@joesteel Why do you think it “shouldn’t be the case” that you’re not excited about the pro? Were you expecting something specific?
@joesteel Oh I used to do that. When there’s an update right?
@joesteel Do you use/have an iPad now? What do you use it for?
@joesteel: Making motion graphics with Keynote(!) weird, but neat. https://twitter.com/Awakeland3D/status/663727698406150144
@mattcutts: BREAKING: Google open-sourcing TensorFlow, its machine learning system: https://googleblog.blogspot.com/2015/11/tensorflow-smarter-machine-learning-for.html
This is huge.
Someone get stickers of @benhowdle’s face printed and give them out at a conference.
@benhowdle I just looked at your mentions.
@steve228uk tbh, I’m not intending on doing any more work on it — it does the basics for what I need.
@steve228uk How many have you got so far?
@joesteel Although there are some on the app store (for iPhone) which seems weird to me.
@joesteel I know, I know.
@steve228uk I would think if you’re already doing native, stick with that. Seems better designed for static content (e.g. list of videos).
@joesteel It’s not in the store. You side load it via Xcode.
@steve228uk It’s an interesting concept for building apps. I didn’t get round to building a custom template though (divTemplate).
I’ve put the useful articles I found about tvOS into Pinboard https://pinboard.in/u:rmlewisuk/t:tvos/
I had a play around with tvJS at the weekend and made something https://twitter.com/_atvapps/status/663710354262872064
@MapsMaponyane: This thread is one of the saddest things I've read regarding racism and humanity as a whole. I'm lost for words ???? https:…
@greyham What part of Austraila are you in by the way? Trying to work out timezones and you have too many over there ????
@dancounsell You are the shining example for this (great job!) — too many apps are being lost in the mix because they have no landing page.
@greyham (That wasn’t meant to imply you were moaning btw) ????
@greyham Rather than moaning on Twitter, I wrote a thing https://twitter.com/rmlewisuk/status/663678600487510016
New: Tips for Apple TV App Developers http://robblewis.me/tips-for-apple-tv-app-developers/
@AndyNicolaides Hmm no I haven’t, I’ll check it out.
@AndyNicolaides KFC just launched a loyalty card thing — no wallet support.
@AndyNicolaides Subway is the only other one I know about (aside from airlines, which aren’t frequently-used by most people).
Richard Scarry books changed a lot over 30 years http://fusion.net/story/228845/richard-scarry-best-word-book-ever-changes/
@stroughtonsmith: Extended demo, category grouping & gestures to switch between channels. This is so much better than satellite ???? https:…
@imyke Hiiiiiiii ????
@hrtbps: I'm done. I'm fucking DONE.
@steve228uk That is the biggest problem for me that only tvJS apps have access to the templates.
@steve228uk I think I will. It’s seems weird that on viewDidAppear it doesn’t replace even though it fetches.
@steve228uk But why does it fetch the data again if it’s not going to replace the template?
It looks like it is possible to make a TVML app without a separate server. Interesting. https://github.com/sammyd/StandaloneTVML
Then I noticed Plex has a “reload” button which is a solution to the exact problem I was having. I should probably file a bug.
I thought I was doing something wrong with my TVML app. The app gets the data on each view, but doesn’t refresh if that data changes.
@forgottentowel: I like the new Apple TV, I’m really looking forward to when it’s finished.
Some Christians Are Super Offended By The New Starbucks Red Cup Design http://www.buzzfeed.com/davidmack/first-they-came-for-our-venti-frappuccinos Sure.
@Aleen Change it in settings to download daily and it will cycle through all of them (although it seems to only show one or two a day).
@johnvoorhees What is happening?! https://twitter.com/BuzzFeedNews/status/663054834241703936
Inside Out: This is fantastic. - http://plotapp.io/p/o2WNz3
@Aleen I’d recommend August/September for reasonable (it’s the best we’ve got) weather.
The thing about these list from big sites, is they’ve clearly put no effort into looking beyond what’s featured http://www.macworld.com/article/3000946/streaming-services/best-apple-tv-apps.html#slide16
